We are hiring a Post-baccalaureate Fellow through the IBSE program in spatial transcriptomics data analysis. Please see our LinkedIn post for more details and how to apply.
Principal Investigator
Prof. Anushka Gupta
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras
Bio
Dr. Anushka Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where she leads the Spatial Omics and Bioinformatics (SOMa) Lab. Her lab develops and applies next-generation single-cell and spatial multi-omics technologies, alongside advanced computational methods to decode how cells organize and interact to sustain healthy tissues, and how these interactions are disrupted in disease.
Dr. Gupta holds a B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining IIT Madras, Dr. Gupta worked as an assay development scientist in the Spatial Biology team at 10x Genomics, USA for four years.
During her doctoral research, under the supervision of Prof. Aaron Streets, Dr. Anushka developed novel experimental and computational methods for investigating human adipose tissue heterogeneity and development at the single-cell level. At 10x Genomics, she developed state-of-the-art single-cell resolution spatial transcriptomics technologies: Visium HD and Visium HD 3’. She is a recipient of the 10x Genomics Exceptional Researcher Award and UC Berkeley Lloyd Fellowship in Bioengineering. Her full CV can be found here.
